Tintin' to screen at AFI Fest

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 1 (UPI) -- The animated movie "The Adventures of Tintin" has been chosen to close out the 2011 American Film Institute Festival, organizers said Tuesday.

The Steven Spielberg-Peter Jackson collaboration is to screen in 3-D Nov. 10 at the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. The screening will mark the movie's North American premiere.

Based on the beloved comic-strip characters created by Belgian artist Georges Rimi who wrote under the pen name Herge, the movie stars Jamie Bell, Andy Serkis, Daniel Craig, Nick Frost and Simon Pegg.
